The charity will not be given another chance until 2012
and it needs your help to realise this opportunity to
push endometriosis into the public eye and to generate
much-needed funds to raise further awareness of this
debilitating disease.
The runner for Endometriosis UK is
Neil Kelly, 33, from Basingstoke, who is running on
behalf of his wife, a sufferer of endometriosis.
“Endometriosis UK provided vital
support and information for my wife Kerry when she was
diagnosed in 2002. It took 4 years for her to receive
a correct diagnosis which I find truly shocking. I really
want to raise awareness of the condition so that we
can decrease the time it takes to diagnose. This would
mean that women, like Kerry, will receive the correct
treatment and support earlier.
I have always wanted to run the London
Marathon and have been waiting for a chance to do so
for Endometriosis UK. It is a great opportunity for
me to show my support for a charity that has provided
so much for my wife.”
Neil is doing
the hard work.
Please get behind
him and show your support by sponsoring him!
The
target is to raise £10,000!
