Founded in March 1997, the ERC has
spent a decade raising awareness about endometriosis
and providing education, research facilitation, and
patient support to the global endometriosis community.
The ERC has never requested a membership
fee to join, participate in or benefit from their
programs, including their offline and online support
network, such as general, teen and research-oriented
listservs and groups. They maintain a database of
materials on most aspects of endometriosis, which
is available to practioners, researchers, women with
endometriosis and their families.
The ERC collaborates with professionals
in this field as well as with likeminded foundations
around the world.
In celebration of their 10th anniversary
and Endometriosis Awareness Month, the ERC will be
engaged in many events throughout March, including:
¤ Support group and education meetings throughout
the United States;
¤ Hosting their ongoing global awareness campaign;
¤ Sponsoring a Public Service Announcement
to be heard throughout the US Mid-Atlantic region;
¤ Holding many creative fundraisers to secure
funding for the cause;
¤ Disseminating free educational literature
and brochures throughout both the lay and professional
communities through our “Adopt a Doc”
program and general awareness endeavors;
¤ Collaboration on several research initiatives;
¤ The formal recognition of “Endometriosis
Awareness Month” through their tireless, groundbreaking
legislative efforts; and
¤ An exciting scholarship announcement to
be publicized on 1 March 2007.
And so much more...
